1870

Mitsubishi was founded as a shipping company “Tsukumo-Shokai” by founder Yataro Iwasaki

1884

 Founder Yataro Iwasaki leased the government-owned Nagasaki Shipyard, renaming it the Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery works.

This would become the foundation of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

1916

The independence of the subsidiary companies

>Enormous overseas expansion

>Operational division are transformed into separate

and independent joint-stock companies

1985

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America Turbocharger Division (Detroit MI.)

1995

 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America Turbocharger Division moved to Addison IL

2003

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America Turbocharger Division merged with Mitsubishi Engine North America

2015

Mitsubishi Turbocharger Production plant in North America in Franklin Indiana

2016

Introduction of new name Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine America Inc.

2017

 First milestone- 1 Million Turbos produced at the Franklin Indiana facility

2018

2 Million Turbos produced at the Franklin Indiana facility

4 Million Turbos produced in the USA Franklin Indiana Facility
